Celebrate 2024 And Vote For This Year's Chess.com Awards

2024 has been an eventful year for chess. We saw quite some movement in the FIDE's top 10 list, with a new generation of young talents cementing themselves among the chess elite. We all cheered on as legendary players put on some thrilling performances in events like the 45th Chess Olympiad and the Speed Chess Championship. Not to mention the newly minted 18th World Champion, 18-year-old Gukesh Dommaraju

But with so many things happening, what were this year's highlights? Well, it's time for you to vote for the 2024 Chess.com Awards and decide! 

This is your opportunity to celebrate all the great things that happened in the chess world this year. From your favorite creators to the most jaw-dropping game, take this time to reminisce on the best moments of 2024 and cast your vote!

By voting for all categories, you will be eligible to win one of 10 diamond memberships awarded randomly. The prizes include one one-year, four six-month, and five three-month memberships. Voting closes on December 31, so make sure to cast your vote today!

This year, you can vote for nine different categories. Check them out below:

  • Player of the Year: the player who had the best performance throughout the year
  • Woman Player of the Year: the woman player who had the best performance throughout the year
  • Creator of the Year: the creator who had the biggest impact,  innovation, and reach
  • Game of the Year: the most fantastic game played in the year
  • Move of the Year: the single most impressive move played in the year, regardless of the rest of the game
  • Rising Star of the Year: the best player who's 18 or younger
  • ChessKid of the Year: the best player who's 13 or younger
  • Commentator of the Year: the person who best explained what was happening during an event
  • Book of the Year: the best book published this year
